ANSI/HPS N13.59-2008 has been issued! ANSI N13.59-2008 was issued on July 3, 2008. The provides guidance for designing characterization surveys for a specific use of the data, such as designing a final status survey, estimating the extent of structural surfaces and soils that exceed the release criteria and requires some type of remediation, and determining the disposal options for removed materials. The standard focuses on the use of the data quality objectives (DQO) process to develop decisions and and confidence bounds for the characterization survey and sampling efforts.
