Science Teacher Workshops

Upcoming Workshop!

Past Workshops

The North Central Chapter is planning a half-day tutorial workshop to be held in Western Wisconsin to introduce area science teachers to the Chapter's radiation laboratory kit.  This kit will allow teachers to use computer based laboratory equipment to reinforce basic nuclear science concepts including radiation penetration (shielding), the effect of distance on radiation intensity, and radioactive half life.  Each attendee will learn how to use the lab equipment by performing half life, distance, and shielding experiments.  The workshop will also provide information on the process to request classroom use of the kit.

There is no charge for the use of the kit and no registration fee is required for the workshop.  The workshop will be limited to 20 teachers.

Contact Mike Lewandowski, Science Teacher Workshop Committee Chair, if you have any questions about this workshop.  Check the NCCHPS website for announcements of future workshops.
